Toy Camera App

Here's a great tool for turning your images into polaroid style photographs. You can muck about with the colours, contrast and grain. Go to www.pentacom.jp and download the application, it's really quick and easy.

David Gillanders

I recently met David Gillanders, not only a lovely guy but an amazing photographer. He is represented by Reportage (http://www.reportagebygettyimages.com/david-gillanders/) and has done some gritty projects including images of the street kids in the Ukraine.

He has also rediscovered the fine art of wet plate photography and travels round his native Scotland taking breathtaking portraits and landscapes of those he meets and places that capture his imagination. To see more go to his website: http://davidjgillanders.wordpress.com/.

Inside Out

'JR is a French street artist with global ambitions. JR travels around the world with his 28mm wide-angle lens trying to capture the unguarded, funny, soulful, and above all, REAL faces of our fellow human beings. He blows up these images and pastes them on urban surfaces for all to see and consider. Images of Parisian thugs are pasted up in bourgeois neighborhoods; photos of Israelis and Palestinians are posted together on both sides of the walls that separate them. In his own words, he wants to "create projects so huge with the community that they are forced to ask themselves questions".'
